Meet Emmie, one of our amazing guides on The Local Motive! A mom to two boys and a dedicated Special Education teacher at a middle school in Colorado Springs, Emmie is also a coach with a passion for beer and a knack for giving directions based on local breweries. Her calm and cool demeanor, combined with her friendly and personable nature, ensures the music keeps going and everyone has a great time on board.

A military wife and the only sister to four brothers, Emma thrives on meeting new people, creating connections, and making sure everyone has a blast. Fun is her top priority, and The Local Motive is the perfect place for her to shine!

Meet a true Colorado Springs native with a passion for adventure, creativity, and great food! When they’re not making a difference in healthcare, they’re off exploring new destinations, crafting up something amazing, or hunting down the best local restaurants and breweries. With three awesome kids keeping life exciting, every day is an adventure—whether it’s a road trip, a new DIY project, or a quest for the perfect pint. Meet Jessica — the woman who wears all the hats in the hospitality industry! From serving to bartending and now guiding the good times on The Local Motive Party Bus, she’s done it all. With several years of experience in school district transportation, Jessica knows how to keep things rolling smoothly. On top of it all, she’s a dedicated single mom, balancing it all with a smile. Cheers to Jessica for keeping the party on track!

Meet Amanda! She too is a fabulous teacher here in Colorado Springs, who gets to teach drama to middle schoolers. She’s super passionate about what she does, focusing on fun, creativity, kindness and confidence, and loves to bring that energy to the party bus! When not working on yet another student theatre production, you’ll find her hanging out with her animals, kiddos and friends, often with a glass of wine in hand, ready to laugh and make that connection come alive!

Each of them has put in the hard work to earn their CDL, ensuring passengers are transported safely while having the time of their lives. Castro is the lead driver for The Local Motive, and he’s nothing short of iconic. Known as “the man, the myth, the legend,” he’s always sporting his signature sunglasses, making cool and confident look like second nature. Behind the wheel, he brings a blend of skill and style that elevates every ride. By day, Castro takes on a leadership role with the city bus system, demonstrating his dedication and expertise both on and off the road.

Jewel is a dynamic force within The Local Motive team. As a school bus driver and leader by day, she brings unmatched expertise to the road. Known for her impeccable driving skills and stylish flair, Jewel is a mom who embodies the phrase “small but mighty.” With her infectious energy, she often dances at every stop and drives safely while transporting passenger, she adds a touch of fun and rhythm to every journey.

Troy is a vibrant and reliable bus driver for The Local Motive, bringing an infectious energy to every ride. By day, he’s a dedicated school bus driver, and as an Army veteran, he carries with him a strong sense of discipline and pride. A Cowboys fan, Troy is outgoing, fun, and embodies the spirit of Local Motive with his enthusiasm. An incredible family man, he’s known for being as trustworthy and dependable as they come, always ensuring a courteous and memorable experience for everyone on board.

Sharon is a beloved driver for The Local Motive, balancing her role as a school bus driver during the day with grace and determination. A soon-to-be mama, she radiates kindness and sweetness, earning admiration for her strong work ethic and focus on excellence. Sharon is committed to delivering outstanding service while bringing joy to her passengers with her wonderful sense of humor.

Sean, a proud member of The Local Motive team, has called Colorado Springs home since 1998. With three years of experience as a “pediatric chauffeur,” (school bus driver) he’s no stranger to navigating the roads with precision and care. A cowboy at heart, Sean brings a rugged charisma and dependable energy to every ride, embodying the spirit of the West.

Dezaray is a stay-at-home mom with a deep passion for helping others. Previously, she drove buses for children with disabilities, where she found great fulfillment in making a difference. Now, she’s excited to join The Local Motive team, picking up daytime and nighttime shifts and bringing her positive energy and experience aboard. We’re thrilled to have her on the team!

Meet Sparks—a proud father, dedicated family man, and seasoned driver with 11 years of commercial driving experience. Originally from Vallejo, California, he made Colorado his home three years ago, where he balances life as a full-time Corrections Officer. In his free time, Sparks enjoys making memories with his girlfriend Izzy, their two kids, Lena (14) and Nicholas (1), and their lively pack of four dogs. Whether he’s behind a camera, on a motorcycle, or hitting the gym, Sparks lives life with passion and purpose.

Muñeka is a longtime school bus driver who also lends her talents inside the school, assisting students, teachers, and office staff with whatever they need. A true animal lover, she shares her home with a lovable crew of pets—including cats, dogs, and even a turtle. Known for her kind heart and willingness to help at any moment, Muñeka is as laid back as she is dependable. She brings a calm, can-do attitude to every challenge and is a natural problem solver who keeps things running smoothly no matter the situation.
